In humble submission to the guidance of the Almighty, the Open Christian University gratefully acknowledges its licensure by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE), permitting us to operate and confer degrees as a private postsecondary institution under religious exemption, in accordance with California Education Code (CEC) Section 94874(e). This sacred privilege underscores our commitment to upholding the highest standards of education, as outlined in the BPPE Act of 2009 and the regulations of the CEC section mentioned above. With reverence and humility, we embrace this approval to operate as a divine blessing, pledging to continue our journey of academic stewardship guided by the principles of faith and integrity.


The Open Christian University is duly accredited by the esteemed Board of Quality Standards (BQS), an internationally recognized quality assurance regulator. As a member of the International Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), the BQS holds sway in the eyes of many governments worldwide. This esteemed board meticulously evaluates our university's management, teaching, and research against a set of standards crafted to accredit institutional programs globally. Recognized by the EU registry, the BQS remains steadfast in its mission to continually accredit curricula, ensuring the utmost credibility and quality of our academic programs to prospective employers and esteemed institutions. 

Open Christian University is accredited by the IATU (No: CABS301271223IATU), complying with all the established professional and educational standards and criteria of IATU accreditation committee concerning educational quality, institutional integrity and public accountability. The International Association of Transnational Universities (IATU) is a Worldwide Education Accrediting Network following the GAAP standards of the Boards of Quality Standards. IATU is an association of accredited and globally recognized universities with GAAP standards. 

The Open Christian University is accredited by the International Accreditation Board for the Marketplace Ministry (IABMM). IABMM is an independent quality management accreditation and certification body, established to promote quality assurance in Higher education for marketplace ministry. The Council is also an international network of quality assurance and program accreditation professionals responsible for providing information, expert advice on qualifications, quality certification for the marketplace ministry. 

Open Christian University is accredited by the International Association for Biblical Education (IABE) - with file No: 011120. IABE is a nonprofit accrediting body for Theological Institutions, committed to promoting a high standard of theological education. IABE Established to equip committed men and women through Theological Institutions for the extension of God’s Kingdom. IABE collectively work with member institution to uplift in the world-class accreditation standard of its quality, our purpose is to Authorize, Recognize and Accredit Bible Colleges and Seminaries for higher learning to fulfill the will of God. IABE works as a mentor to guide member institutions in their pursuit of excellence, and IABE exists to fulfill the Global Mission that Christ has given to make disciples of all nations.


Open Christian University is an Institutional Member (Reg No: 06222021-1)  of the American Association for Higher Education and Accreditation- AAHEA. The American Association for Higher Education & Accreditation (Formerly AAHE) is the oldest association in the United States dedicated to the advancement of higher education. The American Association for Higher Education (AAHE) is an independent professional membership organization that promotes change and reform in higher education, fosters quality teaching and learning at the college and university level, and promotes public awareness of the value of higher education in the United States. 

Open Christian University is a Certified Member of the AICCS, with certificate NO:  266I21M. The Association of Independent Christian Colleges & Seminaries is one of the largest, non-government accrediting groups in the world. AICCS is a non-profit association of independent Christian colleges and seminaries committed to academic excellence, intellectual freedom, ethical conduct, and moral integrity. AICCS was chartered as a charitable corporation in the State of Missouri to help establish, support, maintain, and promote the development of non-traditional, modular, and private tutoring/mentoring methods on-campus, and audio/video-taped, online, and other distance learning methods off-campus.

The Open Christian University is a member of the International Association of Christian Universities (IACU). IACU is an international alliance of Christian institutions whose mission focuses on teaching the Bible. The association works collaboratively with its members to improve quality assurance in Christian institutions, with an emphasis on preventing heresy in Christianity.
