Kenya National Campus

Welcome to Kenya Campus

At Open Christian University Kenya Campus, we seek to be a learning community that practices love of God in Jesus Christ. Our education perspective embraces disciplined, rigorous critical thinking and allows for the nurturing of relationships, creativity, and innovation. We are committed to offer education with a passion for God, God’s word and God’s world, passion for truth, integrity, service, and passion for excellence, justice, beauty, life, and creation.

Motivated by our vision, mission, core values, and by the conviction that learning is both rooted in and responsive to the culture and context, we seek to participate in God’s mission in the world by bringing a Christ-centred world view to bear on knowledge, research and its relevance to both the mission of God and the needs of Africa. Students will take common core of integrative courses that include: Foundations of Christian Life and Mission, Hermeneutics, Christian Ethics, Leadership Development, and Research Methods. Such a core is vital for engaging all branches of knowledge in a way that is biblical and missional. Critical to this pursuit then is enthusiasm by our university teaching staff that strives to integrate the marketplace ministry in all their disciplines. Each constituent entity that is affiliated with us is to develop its own curriculum content, which would be related to the philosophy of  OCU Kenya Campus and relevant to the entity’s distinctive purpose. We are working closely with Adhengo Institute to not only design more programs but to establish our core presence at the marketplace.

We are seeking to recruit representatives who can act as a lead in-country researchers, whether in an individual or institutional capacity. Successful applicants should have senior experience in qualitative research techniques and an ability to manage a team of more junior field researchers to ensure that data is of the highest possible standard.
